Drug Safety Physician Course

This course is specifically designed for professionals whose background is in medicine, pharmacy, public health and biosciences. Our training and skill development program covers all aspects of regulations and drug safety to secure jobs in the pharmaceutical companies. And this course includes a structured curriculum which targets the skills and requirements of the companies. This is an open and interactive training course and includes lectures, practical exercises, extensive hands on real-time projects, different meetings on the discussion of cases who received medicines, training in detection of side effects and causality assessments.

The topics in this course include drug safety, pharmacoepidemiology, risk management strategies, data mining, and post-marketing clinical safety. This course also teaches the subject of International Drug Monitoring that is essential for ensuring effective pharmacovigilance worldwide. 

Students will work on Argus safety platforms to evaluate ICSRs, will learn how to write narratives, company comments and make the causality assessments. Intensively will review the literatures related to medicines and will learn how to capture ICSRs from those literatures and write contexts for those cases and correctly code the events using the MedDRA.

MODULE 6: WORKING ON REAL-TIME PROJECTS AND WRITING MEDICAL NARRATIVES

MODULE 7: MEDICAL WRITING ON AGREAGATE SAFETY REPORTS (PSUR, PBRER, DSUR)

MODULE 8: WORKING ON SIGNAL DETECTION ACTIVITIES

This course has been developed by the experienced industry professional and is fully endorsed by the industry. The program is suitable for fresh graduates as well as working professionals who either wish to grow further in their pharmacovigilance career, or those who wish to shift to the pharmacovigilance sector from any other related industries.

Eligibility

The minimum eligibility criteria for this course would include either of the following:

– Bachelor or Master degree in Bioscience, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics etc.
– Bachelor or Master degree in Medicine such as MD, PhD etc.
– Bachelor or Master degree in Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences.
– Bachelor or Master degree in Public Health/ Epidemiologists.

 Students in their final year of graduation for the above courses are also eligible to apply.
